I like the the skin advertisements that google is developing for YouTube. Facebook should look at contacting companies who are trying to build up branding such as banks to skin their pages.

Skin in that context means the appearance of the user interface. it is usually associated with themes. skin is usually pertaining to the color and texture of the GUI while themes are the combination of skins, customized or predefined icons, cursor icons, wallpaper, screensavers, etc.

good question! skin in that context means the facing that is used with a software component. for instance, the way internet explorer appears on your computer is a 'skin,' and many programs allow skin changes. thus, an advertising skin for facebook would just contain more or different means of advertising
