Coffee for skin care?

My sister heard somewhere that rubbing coffee grounds on her skin durring a shower will make her skin smoother. I want to know if this is true and if it is worth ALL THAT MESS in the shower. SERIOUSLY COFFEE EVERYWHERE!
Coffee for skin care?
Coffee contains some nice chemicals, including caffeine, cafestol, guaiacol, isoeugenol and more. Altogether you will get antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and cancer preventive activity together with a lovely fragrance.

Thinking about your question, I think there is a good way of using the coffee grounds without making too much of a mess. Get some glycerine soap (you can buy it in many places, including Michael's) and melt the soap in the microwave. Mix the coffee ground into the soap and pour in any suitable mold.

If you want the benefits of coffee without any mess, get our Skin Actives Scientific coffee cream. It is a besutiful and very effective cream.

Good luck and best wishes

What might have the same effect is St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

Reply:grounds in a paper towel soaked held on vericos viens i heard may help and my wife has lotion with coffee but coffeegrounds may clog your drain hope this is helpful
Reply:hi!

coffee grounds have a slight peeling (mechanical peeling) effect so they do make your skin smoother. other than that , coffee contains caffeine which increases blood circulation locally (caffeine is the active ingredient in many anti-cellulite lotions because of this).

has a refreshing morning smell too ! :)
Reply:a bit of salt will do the trick....drinking coffee is bad for skin and teeth so dont start rubbing it in
