Is my skin sensitive? Honest answers plz, thanks.?

I've been using hair removal products since I was a pre-teen; and I've used different ones. But I always got a red burning rash after application, but on the upside, the hair was gone. But I can use any kind of soap, any kind of razor, and rub any kind of lotion on my skin, and there's no problem at all. So it's a bit hard for me to believe that my skin is sensitve...but I guess when it comes to hair removers, it is, or is it? there are areas that I'm hesitant to shave, but would like bare, but I'm hesitant to use hair removers because of what I've stated above, but would love to use them. I don't know how to wax, and am a bit scared to wax that spot...as I'm sensitive to pain as well. Can u help? thanks. honest serious answers plz. thanks.

If areas like your legs have a bad reaction to hair removal products, I wouldn't use them in that particular area. That area is usually more sensitive to stuff like that so it might be even worse.

there is probably a chemical in the Nair-stuff that you are allergic to.
Reply:You're probably just allergic to one of the common ingredients in the hair removal products. Have you thought of trying an epilator? They also make special shavers for your private areas now too which are great. I would try an epilator :)
Reply:It doesn't sound like your skin is sensitive because you can use any type of soap and lotion usually people with sensitive skin have to use certain types of soap of lotion. It could just be that you are leaving the hair removal cream on to long or you are allergic to a certain chemical in the hair removal cream. Or your skin doesn't like that type of hair removal cream. Perhaps you should try a different brand.
Reply:mayb u are allergic to that one mayb u should try and use another cream or just try shaving or waxing
Reply:Its a reaction and your skin might be sensitive to that particular cream. Dont use that type of cream because your skin reacts to it badly. Shave or find a new cream , try getting the same cream but the sensitive type, get different brands that have different types and make sure you select the sensitive one. It might help if it doesnt back off and shave instead. Youc an wax but it really kills and you might end up bleeding if you do your pits!
Reply:It's all about the pH of the product and your skin. Hair removers are high pH products (alkaline) where our skin tends to be somewhat acidic. After you remover the hair remover cream, you must rinse with lots of water. Don't use any regular soap (also a high alkaline product) as you will create an environment that continues to irritate your skin

You have to really careful to get all the hair remover creme off your skin - its possible that some was still in the pores of your skin where it continued to work and ended up irritating your skin. Next time consider using the new Epil Stop Perfect Finish Neutralizing AfterWash after you take off the hair remover cream - It neutralizes any hair remover cream left on your skin so you won't burn yourself accidentally or get any red bumps. It's a new product - one that works amazing for me each and every time.
