Be sure to use only oil-free products, but also remember, just because your skin is oily, you still need to moisterize. It might make your skin even less oily, as your skin will need less oil to keep hydrated. I'm not sure about beeswax, but dry makeups that have the word MATTE in them. I have this problem too.

The best would probably be powder. Plus, there's a Clean and Clear powder you can buy to help control the oil. It's a blue powder but comes on clear. I hope this helps.
Reply:You should be using a moisturizer made for oily skin. If its foundation you want, Clinique has a good line for oily skin, but if you cant afford that, then Neutrogena has a line of oil free products that are affordable. You may have to add more powder when you get shiny, but think of it this way: You will have less wrinkles when youre old =)
Reply:First , try take a less fat diet. Fat in food will give you an oily skin too .

Best is to wash your face with a good face soap and water 3 times a day. Bedtime, a must.

Use an astringent after washing. Helps.

Avoid makeup unless a must . Check to see : for oily skin , when you get one. There are many .

Oily skin stays with youth. Will vanish when you are older.
Reply:My face produces enuf oil to keep a third world nation running. And this at the age of 40.

I agree that a powder would probably be best. Why start out by putting a liquid on your face, since that's what it's going to turn into eventually?

However, there are several products out there that act like a shield to keep the oil from shining you up. I'm in the process of evaluating them now (these are products like Estee Lauder Idealist, Mary Kay Oil Control Gel, etc.) With those, you may have better results whatever type of foundation you choose.

At the moment, I'm using a liquid, which I put on with a damp sponge. It's a "liquid matte" makeup which claims to turn into a powder. It's actually not bad, but it's not made anymore.

I would probably avoid the cream to powder types, since they'll be heavy as well.

A good rule of thumb is to stick with a light, sheer foundation, since with oily skin like mine, it's going to tend to puddle around your chin!

UPDATE! I've finished evaluating products, and found a winner. Mary Kay's Oil Mattifier (.6oz for $15). I tried this out yesterday, and damned if my face didn't stay dry ALL DAY! If you use this, you could literally use any type of makeup you wanted.
Reply:If you have oily skin then you should use powder make up, that will help dry some of the oil from your skin.
Reply:there are make ups out there for oily skin, you should probably stick to a powder to reduce shine. Make sure you keep your face clean, and then apply the makeup.
Reply:Please, find cool info for your skin below...
Reply:I have the same problem and I used to suffer from mild acne but then my dermatologist gave me pills called Roaccutane which I took for about 6 months and dried up my oily skin and lessened my problem. However, I came off it almost 2 months ago and my oily skin is starting to come back. I am starting to use a cream which comes in a tube called OC8 (Oil Control 8 - 8 hours of oil control) and shine control paper.
