I have dry skin! Foundation help??

Okay, so the skin on my face is a little dry, but not too dry. But when i used my foundation, it makes my face look like a snakes skin (um in other words, it makes it look really really dry!) What are some different foundations for my kind of skin?
I have dry skin! Foundation help??
first of all, u need to apply a moisturizer to the skin b4 foundation application. next get a foundation thats oil-free and is eco-friendly...meaning doesn't test on animals, all natural, and no other additives and chemicals. smashbox is a cruelty-free company. since u have dry skin, definitley stay away from the powders...b/c that'll just make ur face look more dry. try bare minerals. its not a powder, its a light mineral veil and it absorbs well on to the face almost like a cream. it looks very natural.

I HAD THE SAME PROMBLEM! It's really easy to fix! Before you put your makeup on put motrzier on, and let it dry for 2 min, and then put on your makeup! It's the best thing for me! Good luck, I hope I helped!
Reply:u shouldnt use foundation it will break ur skin out like crazy so use (oil of olay)and it makes ur shin smooth and it feels great.
Reply:use the really light foundation, cause heavy foundation makes your skin dry. i dont have sensitive skin, but when i use a heavy foundion it drys off. use the light ones
Reply:In addition to the moisturizer, make sure you are not using an oil free foundation...they tend to make our skin dry.
Reply:Use a light moisturizer before applying foundation.
Reply:use mac foundation!!! its amazing!!!
Reply:i would try an exfoliation scrub , followed by a good moisturizer. leave on at night. apply light moisturizer before foundation in the morning.
Reply:I use Revlon Colorstay, and i also have dry skin. It WORKS!! It moisturizes and it has an SPF of 25, so it protects you in the sun and keeps you shining all day long.
Reply:The first step is to start with a good cleanser and moisturizer.

Try Mary Kay Full Coverage foundation. It's specifically formulated to hydrate dry skin.
Reply:first off never ever use mac foundation it has microbes that tear your skin and can cause infections and breakouts.

my suggestion is illuminare, its expensive and they dont have it everywhere but its well worth it
Reply:i have the same problem, and i couldnt use oil of olay or vitamin e oil, it just caused more problems after about the 4th day of using it. i use elizabeth arden oil based makeup faithfully and exfoliate at least 1x a month. i dont use powder or shadow, it makes it worse. i use blush designed for sensitive skin. I dont have wrinkles as bad as some of my friends the same age - and yes I'M OLD! good luck!
Reply:Use a skin care system for normal to dry skin. Also, make sure you are exfoliating every other day at least to remove dead, dry skin. This will help the foundation go on better. Moisturizing is a must. You should use a light foundation...NOT powder foundation. This makes dry skin look even more so. A tinted moisturizer would be great, too. Mary Kay makes a great one.

Reply:wash with a face wash formulated for dryier skin, use a toner which restores ph balance,%26amp; a light moisturizer everya.m. %26amp;p.m. Use a gentle exfoliator weekly. You will notice a huge difference %26amp; you don't need to switch foundations
Reply:i would suggest Flirt! Act natural foundation(you can get it at kohls) it's a tinted moisturizer with good sheer coverage and it has spf. Its $12
Reply:Darling, you must try the mineral liquid powder foundation by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics its so beautiful also get the hydrating cream concentrate it will get rid of your dry skin immediately you will be so happy at the results.
Reply:You need a tinted moisturiser or use a moisturiser under your existing foundation before applying it this will help get rid of the spots or flaking you were talking about.
Reply:I RECOMEND BUYING DR. BELLS POMADE. ANY RITE-AID OR WALMART HAS IT... USE IT EVERY NIGHT AFTER WASHING YOUR FACE WITH WARM WATER. IT WILL IMPROVE....
