My skin problem?

Recently I've been having some problems with the skin on my face. It seems to be very red, blotchy and uneven texture. In the past people have commented on how nice my skin is. It's not normally this bad, I keep it clean using face scrub, and wipes. Recently I changed back to Clinique but it doesn't seem to be making any difference. Normally I can wear little or no make up, but I've had to resort to concealer, foundation and powder just to get some sort of even appearance. I also have rather dark circles under my eyes that I can't shift, even with cream. I drink 2 litres of water per day and have a good diet. If would be great to hear if anyone has experienced this and if you have any advice. I'm not keen on wearing lots of make up as I'm worried about it's aging effects. Thanks.
My skin problem?
It sounds like your skin is sensitive to something, I would definitely stop the exfolliating and just use a mild cleanser (Cetaphil) and moisturizer. No acne treatments or anything abrasive. Try and calm your skin down. You can definitely try the Redness Relief Cream from Clinique, it is suppose to be amazing. I am going to pick some up today as I have been dying to try it. Maybe your Clinique counter will let you exchange your other products.

Avoid cold wind or anything that will make your skin red (like red wine or spicy foods). See if it calms down after 4 weeks. If not, you may have the beginnings of rosacea and will need a heavier foundaiton and to see a dermatologist. Makeup is a cosmetic product, it does not cause aging as long as you remove it every night.

I would avoid wipes as they have too many ingredients and can trigger reactions. Wipes cause no end of problems for my skin.
My skin problem?
well if it keeps comtinuing see a dermatoligist and they will prob give you a cream or something for it. also let your skin rest for a while. go a day with out washing
Reply:I'd see a dermatologist about it if I were you.
Reply:well one makeup is not a bad thing and even though you may think it gonna make you look old well if you use the good stuff it can make you look younger for a lot longer!

now to your prob.

have you chnaged anything like a new soap or shampoo anything??

cus you could be having a reaction.

and i would give it a week if it does not go away go see a docter.
Reply:I've had a simular problem to this. My skin has really cleared up after using Garnier's Pure range. [The Pure Scrub, Pure Toner and Pure Moisturiser]. They do 2 pure moisturisers, one is for oily skin and one for normal. I use the one for oily because it mattifies and is a great base for makeup!
Reply:no, thank you for not posting detailed pictures like a young girl earlier.....ewwww.....but we all get bad hair days, we all get bad skin days. You didnt say how old you are?
Reply:it may be a minor allergic reaction to something.

I would recommend sudo cream... this will take down the redness.

And take your make up off when you aren't out the house to let your skin breathe.

I hope this helps. I suffer from eczema so my face gets bad sometimes.
Reply:sudecrem is the answer its not expensive and it works soooo well, youve probably heard about it used for nappy rash lol but it can be used for more as it says on the front,as like acne and rashes etc, hope you know what it is?if u live in the UK you can probably get it from boots or some chemist just ask at the counter, but if you live in america or somewere sorryi dont live there so i dont know,i hope this helps cjayy
Reply:you should see your GP, it sounds to me like eczema and using facescrub will just exacerbate the problem try washing you face with just water for a few days and using a scent free moisturiser such as vaseline intensive care (preferabley not E45 becasue thats got lanolin in it which is effectively sheep grease)

if your problem still persists tehn go and see your GP and he/she will probably give you some form of mild eczema cream like hydrocortozine

try and stay away from the make up as much as possible as well
Reply:Hi I have had this problem, and its either hormonal, or because of the harsh winter weather. As I have got into my 20's my skin has changed and my skintone is really dry and uneven texture and I too would love not to wear make up as that just doubles up on the problem but its better that having bad skin.

I have switch over to Nivea Facial Wipes in the gentle cleansing range for dry sensitive skin, and I also use the moisturiser in the same range, and I find that this makes a big difference. I tried clnique in the past and it made my skin worse so I think its a waste of money, maybe the facial scrub and the wipes are drying out your face and your skin is feeling dry because its burnt,im allergic to most washes and wipes etc like clean and clear, so maybe only use it once a week as its not healthy to scrub the face everyday as it can lead to problems. But nivea doesnt dry the skin out and there is even a facial wash to that is in the dry sensitive range and it doesnt dry out the skin and it will protect it. All I can suggest is to use either the nivea sensitive range or the one for dry sensitive skin but not the original nivea or the normal combination nivea as this could be too harsh.
Reply:Sounds like you may be having a reaction to the product. There are some great products out there for sensitive skin. If it is eczema, I have been using Arbonne products for that. We saw the symptoms disappear in 24 hours. Arbonne also has some products for "sensitive" skin. Most people that can't tolerate other products, do very well with this product. If you want more information about this product, let me know.
