I recently bought clinques acne 3 step kit. The lady there tested out my skin type and i am combiniation, very senstive and dry checks but oily t-zone and the t-zone gets all the zits.
I started using it and after i use it my skin is red in spots and burns a bit.
What should i do?
Is that how it should work?
Thanks!
My skin is red after washing it? ouch!?
wuts a t-zone??

You might be having an allergic reaction, or the chemical is too harsh for your skin.
Try looking for a gentler facewash or be tested for things in the face was to make sure your not allergic to anything.
Reply:its probably dry. use some lightweight lotion that is meant for your face and make sure it says it doesnt clog pores.
if you need.. just put it on your cheeks and other places it hurts, not your t-zone.
Reply:Stop RUBBING IT SO HARD NEXT TIME!!! Your not scrubbing out a blood stain on the rug!!!
Reply:it might just be that you are allergic to it.try something else, if it continues go tot the doctor.
Reply:I don't know but I just tried Cliniques Turn Around Cream and it burned a bit whenever I used it, but I just ignored it and now my face is broken out. I have the same skin type. I think there is something in their products that is still irritating even though it's supposed to be for that particular skin type.
Reply:well if it stings, stop using it. Go and find a wash made for sensitive skin and don't use too much acne medicine becuase they're usually very extreme. Maybe alternate days like Monday you use it and Tuesday you don't. Then find a lotion that fights acne yet moisturizes your skin at the same time like avenno, for your dry cheeks.
Reply:Its the alcohol in it.It has happened to me too.Buy products that are alcohol free.
Reply:My daughter used that same product and the same thing happened. She stopped using it right away. When I tried to return it the saleslady inferred she was probably not using it correctly. I informed her she followed instructions exactly and I would like to return the product. They gave me a hard time on returning their "money back garuntee" product. They told me that my name was going onto a database and I wouldn't be able to buy this product ever again. BIG WOW! PUHLEEZ! Really strange huh? I don't know what this company is all about but one things for sure-their not about my daughter anymore. One word describes that whole adventure-JOKE!
Reply:You might be allergic to it or your skin might be too sensitive. Try using another product. When I get zits I use Rubbing Alcohol on a cottonball and rub lightly over the area.
Reply:i have the same thing, and my skin does the same. It's just the reaction. it's supposed to do that.
Reply:It could be and sounds like an allergic reaction. I think what you should use is an oil-free foaming cleanser in the morning and use products designed specifically for the t-zone only for that area. And, purchase a moisturizer for your cheeks. Otherwise, they will continue to over-dry with the products you wash your face with.
Reply:It's getting red and it probably burns because your skin is sensitive. It shouldn't be doing that and the lady should've given you a product for sensitive skin/dry skin. See if you can return it. Go back and see if they have any products for sensitive/dry skin that also treats acne. Good luck. 鈾mily
