Dry skin left from baby tears near eye what shall i do?

My baby 12 weeks old her crying and tears on her right eye has left a whiter patch and is dry skin, teh tears have dried out the skin area - the side is not near the nose but near the temple - what shall iput on it vaselin (petroleum jelly) what shall i do -

nothing, dry skin will come off on its own.
Reply:Squirt some breastmilk on there at the end of a feed , or onto a cotton wool and dab it on . If you are formula feeding , then use some cooled chamomlie tae , on cotton wool ; both of these are fine to put in the eye , so are safe for use near her eye also . Also it unlikely to be a reaction to her tears , maybe you need to use a milder washing powder or pure soap on her clothes , sheets . blankies etc.
Reply:If you put vasoline it will blur your babys vision. Use breastmilk or cows milk. but if it is not bothering your baby then dont worry about it. It is just a minor problem
