I have fair skin and dark hair (not naturally dark). I can easily look like a clown if i have the slightest too much amount of makeup on. This is because of my fair skin. But it can easily go the other direction, i can easily be washed out with not ENough makeup on.
Does anyone have makeup tips for a girl with a rounder face and fair skin?
Makeup tips for fair skin..?
Sounds like me. Round Face. Fair skin. I use Covergirl liquid foundation to powder and use a little face powder over it. I use the FAIR color and get it as light as possible. Use very light covering make up. Anything heavy just looks plain yucky!
Covergirl may not work well for you....but try different make up brands until you find the one that works for you.
Physicians Formula and BareMinerals is another light make up brand that my sister uses. She has red hair and light skin.
Stay away from liquid foundations. They never worked for me.
Keep the makeup as natural as you can.... Having fair skin is IN...no matter what anyone says - so show off what you have!
Makeup tips for fair skin..?
Use earth tones that will kind of blend in. Don'tuse strong colors like brigt red o bright pink.Mellow colors.
Reply:Try to wear neutral colors, earth tones are nice for dark hair and fair skin. The lipstick should be light tones too. Peachy color for blush.
Reply:If your NATURAL color of hair is on the red side you probably have warm skin tones, so makeup on the orange side, peachy, apricotty, eye colors rust, green, brown, teal would be good. Lipstick, peaches, apricots, rusts, etc.
If your NATURAL hair color is on the ash side, no red highlights, then you have cool skin tones so your best colors are pinks, maroons, some reds, for eyes: blues, purples, charcoal, turquoise.
If you have dyed your hair a color that is incompatible with your skin tone you are going to look out of balance. You need to still use makeup for your normal hair color to look your best. A light touch though because of your fairness.
Reply:From my experience (auburn hair, freckled skin):
First, make sure you have a slammin' foundation (powder, liquid, whatever works best for your type)... that matches your skin color WELL. Prescriptives has always been a great brand to use for well matched skin tones.
Second, I have taken to using lipstick, yes lipstick, on my cheeks. I use a muted pink that closely matches my natural blush color... and rub it on the apples of my cheeks (and just a touch on my forehead and chin) before I apply my powder. It helps me look more like I have a natural glow (than two clown circles on my cheeks). In the summer, I'll lightly brush on some light bronzing powder to add a slight hint of 'tan' to my skin.
I only use really dark colored lipstick/eye-makup when I'm going out at night. During the day, the only dark thing I use is black mascara (because I have dark eyes, and it just looks better on me). I keep my eye-liner and shadow natural, sticking to browns and natural mauves/pinks that accent my skin tone (which is more warm than cool).
A tip on the bronzing powder?... I learned to lightly brush that type of powder, believe it or not, around my hairline. Add that to your cheekbones and it might tone down the roundness in your face. Overall, that type of application helps pop your cheeks, forehead and chin.
I hope that helps a little... at least it gives you something to experiment with...... good luck!

Reply:Try going to EverydayMinerals.com %26amp; there you can get a free m/up kit (includes a blush), just pay S%26amp;H. I would try the Apple Cheeks blush(rosy tint) or the Daydreamer blush(more neutral). Just enough color. You could even lightly contour with the Daydreamer blush or a Bronzer %26amp; then just put a tint of color like the Apple cheeks. Also for a hint of color for your lips I just found my new favorite gloss Maybelline's Shiny-licious in Chocolate Cherry. Looks dark but gives your lips the perfect blush, w/out being overdone. Hope this helps.:)
Reply:Ok.Try this. Its summer so avoid foundation and use a tinted moisturizer. It s lighter and works better. Now go for pale colors or else you risk looking gothic. Try a light beige base, and light brown at the upper lid.Even coral and light green works. Next thing put some blusher on.Try a rose one.Being fair doesnt mean u have to look pale. Next thing.Buy red lipgloss. Its lovely.Dont choose a bright red one but an orange red one. Keep me informed
