Dear All,
Am a lady from an African Country, Nigeria to be precise. I have this problem that is really making me sick all the time. I have a chocolate skin by nature, but anytime I go outside and the sun touches me, my face turns real black and ugly and I sweat a lot. What could be the problem? I have friends that will stay out in the sun for hours and their skins are still glowing. I have several creams but all to no avail. It is especially worse when am nearing my monthly circle, I become ugly and very black more than I used to be. What type of cream should I use that is available in my country? What should I do? Please!! Please!!! Please!!!! all tell me. I want to be like my friends and all those models that have glowing skin they show on the TV. I want to go out in the sun and my face still remains as it is (chocolate). My skin is too sensitive to the sun, but I cant stay indoors through out. Help me please for am dying, I feel shy looking at my fiance's face because of my face.
Any cream that will help make a glowing skin even if skin is exposed to the sun?
hello, i sympathize with your situation because i've been there too when i had skin pigmentations.. success in skin lightening or whitening does NOT rely on products alone.. sun exposure in nigeria is so extreme so you need to do the following -
1. use safe skin lighteners
several products have hydroquinone which makes skin ore sensitive to the sun and create dark patches darker.. worse, can cause skin cancer.. other unsafe ingredients are mercury and steroids which can lead to various serious side effects..
2. wear high spf sunscreen
in your area, it's important that you use the highest spf available, 55 or better.. i've heard there's spf 70 for neutrogena which is good.. if you're exposed to the sun for long hours (which i don't suggest, whether you're in a skin lightening regimen or NOT), you need to re-apply the sunscreen every 2 hours.. a little work but if you want to achieve the results that you want, give it a little 'tlc'.. and as much as possible, avoid prolonged sun exposure between 10am and 3pm where the sun is at its most damaging UVB and UVA rays.. also make sure your sunscreen blocks BOTH rays, because some don't...
3. use your favorite moisturizers
skin lighteners can be a little drying because of the exfoliation effect.. the topmost unwanted dark skin layers will be peeled off, revealing a fresher lighter skin tone.. at daytime, this new skin is the sun-sensitive part and need sunscreen protection when you go outdoors.. at night time, apply your moisturizers on face and body (15 minutes after the sin lighteners) to keep skin supple adn hydrated..
4. take a dose of vitamin C
at least 500 mg of daily vitamin C will help reinforce the skin lightening effect in the long run.. the ascorbic acid is a great antioxidant and can help inhibit melanin production in the skin that is responsible for skin darkening..
remember, you can't compare other people's results with yours.. each individual has his/her own unique skin sensitivity and results will vary.. it may or not work for you, but you'll never know until you try the right way to do it..
there are safe and effective skin lightening products in the market, that's the good news. :-)

Put honey ALL OVER your face! :)
